Nickelodeon's The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra picks up 70 years after the last series once Aang has died. Deceptive and technically impossible title aside, Korra is a water bender. She has already mastered earth and fire and now must learn air bending from Aang and Katara's son, Tenzin. Living during an "anti-bender revolution" in an urbanized 1920's-like world lends the story to take on a more mature style.
We can only hope that the success of this show, set to air sometime in 2012, will drive the creators to a third season with an all-new earth Avatar.
Bonus: Daniel Dae Kim, or Jin from Lost, will be one of the voice actors.
